Case Study, Events & Ceremonies
LIVE EVENT COVERAGE
How Jaime Andres Media covers once-only moments, from a medical campus grand opening and arena-scale commencements to Match Day reveals and an Art Basel week talk in Miami’s Design District.
At a glance
- The challenge
- Once-only moments on a fixed schedule, in front of a crowd, with no second takes and several stakeholders waiting on the footage.
- What we did
- Coverage planned from the run of show, locked positions for the moments that matter, roaming coverage for reactions, and edits paced to feel like being there.
- What was delivered
- A grand opening film, commencement and ceremony films, three years of Match Day highlights, an Art Basel week event film, social versions and photography.
- Match Day 2024, 2025 and 2026
- Medical campus grand opening
- Arena-scale ceremonies
- Art Basel week, Design District
The challenge
Live events do not wait for the camera. A grand opening, a commencement, a Match Day reveal, a talk with a high-profile guest: each happens once, on a fixed schedule, in front of a crowd. The organizer needs the moment captured completely and delivered fast enough to matter, with no second takes.
The audience
Graduates and families, students and faculty, institutional communications teams, event organizers, sponsors and partners, and everyone who could not be in the room.
Operational constraints
Fixed run-of-show timing, large venues and crowds, stage lighting that changes cue to cue, restricted camera positions, high-profile guests with little time to spare, and several stakeholders who need different assets from the same moment.
The strategic approach
Plan coverage from the run of show. Lock positions for the moments that cannot be missed, assign roaming coverage for reactions and atmosphere, and agree in advance what each stakeholder needs, so one event yields the highlight film, the social cuts and the stills.
The creative approach
Documentary energy with cinematic polish. Wide shots that show the scale of the room, close coverage that catches faces and reactions, and an edit paced to feel like being there. Real moments only, nothing staged.
Production scope & deliverables
Coverage scales to the event, from a compact crew at an intimate Design District talk to multi-camera coverage of arena-scale ceremonies. The same capture feeds the highlight film, social versions and photography, and recurring events like Match Day are covered year after year.
- Grand opening coverage for a new medical campus
- Commencement and ceremony coverage for once-only live events
- Match Day highlight films in 2024, 2025 and 2026
- Talks, panels and guest appearances, including an Art Basel week event in the Design District
- Social versions and photography from the same capture
Match Day, three years running
Distribution & use
Highlight films go to institutional channels, social media and internal communications, then keep working as recruiting, admissions and fundraising material long after the event.
Why it works
Events are unrepeatable. A crew that works from the run of show, knows where the moment will happen and stays out of the way gets the shot the first time. That is why the same ceremonies come back year after year.
